Build a house quickly

Using traditional technologies, building a house can take a year. But how to build a house quickly?

So, if you wish build a house quickly, in the shortest possible time, you need to pay attention to the so-called frame or prefabricated building systems. These can be, for example, houses made of polystyrene foam blocks. If you prefer more traditional approaches to construction and have firmly decided to build a brick house, keep in mind that it can be built much faster by abandoning multi-layer walls and partitions.

Frame houses, log houses and houses made of polystyrene foam

Probably the "youngest" technology that allows build a house quickly – construction from polystyrene foam. In this case, polystyrene foam blocks represent a kind of frame that will be filled with a binding solution – concrete. Thanks to this technology, a house can be built within two months.

A little slower, but still quite fast, houses are built using frame technology. As the name suggests, the basis of the building is a wooden or steel frame, in the design of which there is insulation. The interior and exterior walls can be finished with plasterboard, OSB, fiber cement, etc.

A log building can be built just as quickly as a frame house. Most of the structural elements of such houses are already assembled in factory conditions, which allows for faster work. But remember that a log house often does not meet modern standards for wall insulation, in which the heat transfer coefficient U must be at least 0.3 W/(m2•K). Such houses require additional thermal insulation, which increases construction time.

One of the advantages of the above solutions is the possibility of constructing buildings without “wet” finishing works, which allows installation works to be carried out even in winter.

Build a house quickly from bricks

If you want to quickly build a brick house, you need to clearly plan the construction process at the design stage. Remember that you must complete all work no later than the last month of autumn. To maintain this pace, you will have to abandon the construction of multi-layer walls.

At the same time, your single-layer walls should have good thermal insulation characteristics, therefore, they should be made of suitable materials, such as expanded clay concrete. Using plasterboard systems instead of traditional brick partitions will speed up the work even more. Also, during the rapid construction of a brick house, it is worth buying ready-to-use solutions and adhesives, which will save you precious hours and even days. Refuse complex parquet and mosaic floors in favor of floor panels that can be laid end-to-end without special bonding solutions.
