Modular house - facts and myths

Modular buildings are still viewed with some suspicion in Ukraine. This is mainly due to the lack of unbiased information about this technology.

The decision to build your own home is one of the most important in a person’s life. Future homeowners scrupulously study the market, choosing the best options. In such a situation, just a few negative reviews can turn a person who is looking for modular technology away. So what is bad said about modular homes? Expensive to maintain, short-lived, fire hazardous, questionable aesthetics - these are just some of the myths about modular homes.

Modular buildings are primarily considered cold. Nothing could be further from the truth. The fire hazard of modular homes is another myth. This type of construction virtually eliminates the risk of fire, but in an emergency situation, it surprises with its 45-minute fire resistance. The consequences of a fire in a traditional building are usually associated with the need for major repairs. In the case of a modular home, it is enough to replace the damaged elements.

Another disadvantage of this type of building is often called its short life. In reality, however, experience shows that with proper operation, such houses can stand for up to 300 years. All elements of the structure are securely connected to each other with high-quality fasteners.

As for the questionable aesthetics of modular buildings, it is safe to say that a modular building is no different from a traditional home.

Modular technology is characterized by the fact that most elements of the future building are created in advance at the factory. Assembly of prefabricated modules takes several days. Such a modular design allows you to create durable and inexpensive, economical to operate houses.
