Among the widely discussed environmental issues, the central issue remains the problem of saving energy used for ventilation, air conditioning and heating of houses. It is not surprising that the actions of construction specialists are focused on creating technologies that would allow walls to retain heat in the middle of the building while maintaining optimal ventilation. A modern solution in this area is the construction of three-layer external walls that provide reliable thermal insulation and constant air circulation.

Each of the three layers of such walls differs in the material used and its role in the system. The inner layer of the wall is usually constructed from ceramic materials that have significant thermal insulation properties.

The material used to construct the outer layer is usually brick cladding or clinker, which mainly serves a protective and decorative function. The middle layer is mineral wool or polystyrene foam.

Ventilation and heat loss

When we build ecologically, we pay more and more attention to the fact that building materials are made from natural raw materials. Among such materials, we can note the entire range of building ceramics: brick, clinker and tiles, roofing tiles, etc.

"Ceramic building materials made from fired clay are very environmentally friendly," says Krzysztof Omeljan, an employee of Röben. "And although the technology of their production has advanced significantly, the basis of the process has remained unchanged for many centuries. Under the influence of high temperatures, the clay becomes hard, as a result of which the resulting building material is also characterized by significant strength and resistance to various external factors, while being completely environmentally friendly."

Ecology and energy saving are currently the strongest trends characterizing the current state of affairs in the construction industry.
