Fungus

If the walls of the house are covered with gray-brown spots resembling a web, it means that the house has been “attacked” by fungus. It carries many dangers: destruction of plaster, walls, wood. And most importantly, fungus is harmful to health!

Fungus is the enemy of the home

After flood waters have receded, houses are particularly vulnerable to attacks by mold and fungus (biological corrosion). Biological corrosion is inextricably linked with the activity of various microorganisms, the so-called biological pests. In addition to mold and fungus, certain types of insects can pose a danger. They must be dealt with quickly and mercilessly.

But before "taking up the fight" with the fungus, it is necessary to eliminate the cause of its development. First of all, the building must be protected from moisture. Otherwise, all efforts will be in vain.

Fighting fungus

Removal of fungus should begin with a thorough cleaning of the surface. Dirt, dust, old paint are removed with steel brushes. If fungus penetrated deeper, the plaster must be knocked down to the brick itself, beyond the contaminated area.

In the case of thin plaster, it is usually sufficient to clean the walls, having previously washed them with water and detergent. For disinfection, a solution with a fungicide is applied to the prepared surface. The solution can be applied with a roller, brush, or spray. For the best effect, such a solution is used at least twice.

During the work, the walls must be protected from precipitation until completely dry. After the surface has dried, that is, after about 6 hours, the walls can be repainted if necessary.
