Modular house - an alternative to brick?

Traditionally, our compatriots build brick houses because they believe that they are the most durable and warm. However, today Ukrainians are increasingly turning to alternative solutions. Let's try to find out: is a modular house an alternative to a brick one?

As a result, the investor receives a warm, energy-efficient and healthy home in a short time, in which several generations can live without problems. Ideally, modular homes can stand for more than a hundred years. An additional advantage of such houses is the low price, which is 30% lower than traditional brick buildings.

Modular house ready for occupancy within three months. This speed is achieved due to the fact that many of its elements are already assembled at the factory. The installation of the modules themselves takes just a few days. It can be done regardless of the season. Apart from the foundations, no "wet" work needs to be done. The building materials will not remain on the construction site for a long time, as they will be delivered immediately before construction.

Energy efficiency of a modular home

Heating a brick house in our climate zone accounts for two thirds of the annual operating costs. The increase in energy consumption in traditional buildings is the result of the presence of "cold bridges", low thermal insulation of external walls, and the widespread use of natural ventilation. The design of the walls of modular houses allows for thermal conductivity of 0.17 kW / t, which is 70% lower than in brick buildings. A building constructed using modular technology heats up faster and retains heat longer. Its walls are also characterized by very good sound insulation at 54 dB.
