Painting the facade
Painting the facade of a house is not difficult in itself, it is important to choose the right tools and paints and varnishes.
When painting facades, it is important to remember several practical principles. The first of these is the use of high-quality facade paint. Its technical parameters must meet certain standards, because the facade is constantly exposed to harsh, and sometimes extreme, weather conditions. Thus, the external paint coating of the facade must have high resistance to atmospheric influences, have low water absorption and good vapor permeability.
What color should the facade be?
When choosing the color of the facade paint, you should not only be guided by your personal preferences. Consider how your house will look with the buildings next door, how harmoniously the new facade color will match the surrounding landscape.
When choosing a color, do not forget about the impact of sunlight. For large areas, it is best to use light and pastel colors that will reflect the sun's rays well. This will prevent excessive heating of the facade, which in turn can lead to cracks in the plaster. Dark and warm tones are good for painting individual details that you would like to highlight (for example, cornices, columns, window frames).

Painting method
Depending on the area to be painted, paint can be applied to the facade using a brush, roller, sprayer, etc. In most cases, the most effective tool is a roller. It is important that its bristles are short and soft, and the handle is equipped with a telescopic extension. Brushes are great for painting hard-to-reach places and corners.
Before you start working
First of all, you need to take care of the availability of construction equipment that allows you to paint walls at different heights - ladders, scaffolding, scaffolding. Do not forget about the appropriate weather conditions: Do not paint walls in too sunny or too cold weather. The temperature during paint application should fluctuate between 5 and 35 Cº. Check the weather forecast! The surface to which the paint will be applied must be dry, clean, and degreased.
And finally, take care to protect those areas that will not be painted – cover them with a special construction film.
Let's start painting
Before starting work, the paint should be thoroughly mixed and diluted if necessary. The walls are painted starting from the top and systematically moving downwards. To avoid differences in color, try to paint the entire area in one cycle. The number of layers of paint is applied, following the manufacturer's recommendations.
Most exterior paints take about 24 hours to dry, but under optimal weather conditions, the next coat of paint can be applied within a few hours.
