Siding
The term “siding” is applicable not only to the material for facade finishing, but also to the technology of facade cladding.
This modern technology is based on long prefabricated panels (strips) made of various materials, 2 to 6 m long, 10 to 30 cm wide and 0.7 to 10 mm thick (which are actually called siding), as well as additional elements (ventilation grilles, wind strips, etc.)
First used in North America in the late 1950s, it has been used in Ukraine for the past few years. siding has established itself as a "facade compromise" between beauty, price and quality. In addition, siding will save you from maintaining the facade. The panels do not have sharp or right angles, so the accumulation of dirt on them is excluded. In addition, siding very easy to maintain. Dust and dirt from the siding facade are simply washed off with a stream of water from a hose.
This material has a service life of about 50 years, during which it does not require painting or renovation. It does not change color; it is not subject to corrosion, resistant to moisture, various atmospheric influences, temperature changes (from +50° to -50° C) and chemicals. There are different types of siding.

The costs of covering a house with siding are comparable to the costs of facade plastering. But if in two years the plastered facade will need repainting, minor repairs (and this means new costs), then siding and the whole house will look and “feel” like new.
Also, unlike other methods of finishing the facade, siding panels not only do not require preparation of the wall surface, but also hide their flaws. Moreover, it does not “tightly” close the walls of the house, allowing the facade to “breathe”.
This material can be chosen in a wide and original color range. The facades of buildings covered with siding immediately attract attention with their neatness and style.
Siding used in all types of construction - cottage, industrial, in the construction of commercial facilities. It looks especially good on low-rise private houses and cottages.
Siding - installation features
Siding panels are fastened together with a snap lock. The lower part of the panel snaps into the lock with the previous one, the upper part is fastened with nails or screws through perforation holes, then snaps into the next one, etc. In this case, the nails and screws remain invisible from the front side.
Siding manufacturers supply their products with detailed installation instructions and offer sets of accessories that will give the façade a finished look.
