Painting the walls
Nothing decorates an interior like a good wall color.
Using commercially available decorative paints gives the decorator virtually unlimited possibilities.
The paint covering the walls can be glossy, matte, imitate wood, stone and other natural materials. Painted elements can be combined with fabric, wallpaper, glass, wood or metal.
In addition to their decorative function, modern paints for interior decoration allow you to easily remove dirt from the surface of the walls, and in addition, they do not contain harmful substances.
Some decorative paints contain fungicidal and bactericidal additives.

Most ready-to-use paints for interior walls and ceilings are mixtures consisting of various polymer resins and modified additives that improve functional properties.
Modern decorative paints can be divided
- Polyvinyl chloride - used for thin layer application;
- Acrylic paints - for universal use, have good elasticity, adhesion to the base and high opacity;
- Latex - characterized by high resistance to abrasion, elasticity and excellent vapor permeability. As a rule, they are used in "wet" rooms - kitchen, bathroom, laundry;
- Alkyd - provide a dense, water-resistant coating with high adhesion to the base.
- Mineral - rarely used today due to the low strength of the coating, suitable for application only in dry rooms.
Interesting effects can be achieved by using paints with an admixture of decorative mosaic.
