Repair of wooden facades
It is always better to prevent a problem than to fix it. However, it is often too late to carry out preventive measures. This also happens with wooden facades.
A wooden facade looks very aesthetically pleasing, but it often takes some effort to maintain it in good condition. The process of repairing a wooden facade can take a lot of time. It should be carried out in good weather, having thoroughly cleaned the walls beforehand. It is recommended to carry out repair work every 5-7 years, using appropriate impregnations and protective agents. Otherwise, under the influence of high or low temperatures, rain, snow, UV rays, a wooden facade can quickly lose its original appearance. In addition, damaged wood is an ideal environment for the development of parasites.
Blue stains on wooden facades
Blue stains on walls spoil the aesthetics of facades and can quickly affect the deep layers of wood. In addition, blue stains are a signal that the wood is susceptible to fungal attack. The most favorable conditions for the appearance of blue stains are humidity 26-33% and temperature around 20-25 ° C. Fungal spores are often spread by wind or rain. Unfortunately, the onset of the wood damage process is difficult to notice in time. Over time, blue stains change color to gray-blue and even black. This is a sign that facade repair work must be started immediately.

How to get rid of stains?
The work begins with sanding the entire surface. If the damage is so deep that it cannot be removed mechanically, it is necessary to use chemicals. For these purposes, special bleaches are used, which can be easily purchased at a construction chemicals store. There are many types of such preparations on the market. They are safe for health, their use does not damage the structure of the wood and does not reduce its strength, since these substances are usually produced on the basis of sodium, chlorides, calcium and oxalates.
Carefully treat the entire facade with the substance. You can use brushes or sprayers for this. Wash off the preparation after a few minutes. Bleaching will only bring the desired effect when the wood is completely dry. Therefore, the work should not be carried out in rainy weather.
Important safety information
When removing blue stains from wooden facades, regardless of the brand and manufacturer of the selected wood bleach, it is necessary to follow safety rules: wear protective clothing, rubber gloves and safety glasses. If the product comes into contact with your skin or eyes, rinse them with running water as quickly as possible.
